DIY: Twine Vases

I absolutely love flowers, but I never had anything pretty to put them in! So I decided to create some of my own. This can take some time but I think it's worth it in the end, and it can also be a great gift for Mother's Day, a birthday gift for your mom, or just to have around your house! I did two different types of twine vases using two different techniques and different twine. You can choose which one you like best :)

Materials:

Twine Technique #1 ~ Wrapping

Step 1: Tape the end of your twine to the bottom edge of the bottle and hot glue the strand to the right of it.

Step 2: Take the tape off and glue that small piece down and the rest your twine around the bottom edge of the bottle.

Step 3: Wrap the twine around the bottle, using your hand to push the twine down so that it is tight and won't become loose.

**If your piece of twine runs out, hot glue the end down and grab another strand. Hot glue the new strand down next to where the other one ended. You can barely notice!**

Step 4: When you get to the top, hot glue the end peice just like you did for the bottom.

What the wrapping technique looks like when finished:

Twine Technique #2 ~ Hot Gluing

Step 1: Repeat "Step 1" in first technique.

Step 2: Instead of only hot gluing the bottom and top, hot glue all the way around the bottle, wrapping the twine on top of the hot glue as you go.

This is what the "hot gluing" technique looked like when finished:

Comparison between the two ~ Which type do you guys like better?
